    Jesus of Nazareth Crib

The Jesus of Nazareth Institute's is a large mechanical crib that depicting Nativity scenes with paper-mache figurines is exhibited at this Institute.

The late Bishop Emmanuel Galea, then the director of the Jesus of Nazareth Institute and orphanage, had the idea of constructing a sizeable crib. After several weeks of dedicated work by the late Bishop the crib was inaugurated during the festive season of 1947. His nephew Paul Pavia provided the mechanical works to bring figures to 'life'.
