Data Protection Act 2001 and GDPR 2018
The Data Protection Act 2001 was enacted on the 14 December 2001 and came fully into force on the 15 July 2003. The General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018 comes in force on 25 May 2018; this states that clients’ personal data is used only when there is a proper reason to do so and if consent is given to the pertaining organization.
