Zejtun receives award for cleanliness

In a press conference held in Mellieha on 30^th November, Dr. Chris Said Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue and Information announced that Zejtun was amongst one of the 4 winning localities that have been selected for their initiatives on cleanliness during the past four months. On initiative of the Vice-Mayor Mrs. Joan Agius, Zejtun Local Council has done its utmost to ensure the perfect upkeep of the locality, involving directly the residents as the main stakeholders. The award for this initiative is that of Euro 10,000, which funds the Council will use to ensure further cleanliness and upkeep for the residents and visitors alike.
